Maker Faire 2008

We went to Maker Faire on Saturday. Our original plan was to go Sunday, but the birthday party was canceled. Feel better J and A.

Maker Faire is a huge festival where people come to show off inventions and just pretty cool stuff. Robots, the latest in industry, handmade crafts, if you can think of it, it was probably there somewhere. My favorite part was the robot wars. It was pure entertainment. They had a kids’ tent where A got to make a kite. She and I also made a journal. We met up with Mr. T and his family for breakfast at Rudy’s and then we all went to the festival. Everyone really enjoyed it. Can’t wait for next year!

This was one of the first things we saw. It was a car with lobsters and fish all over it. They stood up and danced to music.

This artist does his work on really dirty windshields. He’s very good at it too.
