On Saturday, which was actually Halloween, Hubby took A to Walgreen’s to get her picture taken. They offer a deal every year to take your child’’s picture and put it on a CD for 99 cents. Of course I can’t pass that up. So I grabbed a shower after my workout and he headed to have Dorothy’s picture taken
We grabbed lunch on our way downtown. We went to the Paramount Theater and listened to an interview and speech with Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon. He was great. A loved it too. We walked over to the Texas Book Festival where we bought a book about the moon. We made our way around to see all of the tents and settled down in the children’s entertainment tent. Apparently we had just missed the Biscuit Brothers, but we did catch a puppet show that was cute. A got countless comments from strangers on her very cool Dorothy costume. She loved it!
On our way out of downtown, we stopped at Whole Foods, grabbed some food, and headed to eat on top of the building. That was so cool. I hadn’t been there in years. A played just a bit on the playscape before we headed home. We watched our new Tinkerbell movie and then it was time for trick or treating.
We took A up and down our street. She had a great time. Then we set up some chairs in our driveway and A gave out our candy. She took that job for the rest of the night and did a great job with her manners. She probably got tired of saying, “You’re welcome.” ![]()
